Hi Lincs Lady - I have just moved your post to the best place to get help with this sort of query - I hope you don't mind. I would usually have sent you a private message but thought you might not be able to open it!
If you have the inbox and the message is listed - just click on the title. For general guidelines click on FAQ on the brown bar at the top of the forums page - there is a lot of information there. Go down to the bottom of the first page there are 3 links - click on them to learn how to use the site. Don't worry - you'll soon get to grips with it - if I did then you can! Or just post again for help. Look at the social groups - they are new and haven't really got going but there is one for people like us! Good luck Gillian |

Hi there all I do is log in,click on box top right where it says welcome on the bit that says private messages in blue, and scroll down a little bit, your message should then show. Hope this helps. |

Hi Lincs,
please dont give up. We will get there in the end. here is a link to your messages: http://www.ancestryaid.co.uk/boards/private.php The easiest way to get to your messages is by clicking the small link that says "Private Messages" below the Welcome message in the top right corner of the forums. Failing that, click on the "Your Account" link at the top of the forums. In the new page look for the header "Private Messages" below that are some links. The top one is "List Messages", this will take you to your private messages. Let me know if you need more help, you are being no bother at all, I am happy to help. Regards |

Hi Sheila,
Please don't give up on the site. Everyone here is more than willing to help members' who experience difficulties. I too, when I first joined couldn't navigate everything immediately but learned with the benefit of time. You, I'm sure will do too. Don't be afraid to ask whatever you need to know, we are a patient bunch and don't feel exasperated by members' not understanding certain aspects. Remember, we've all been 'new' once - and fumbled our way around, and with that in mind we are extremely understanding, and truly want to help members' feel comfortable and welcome. As Jon said ....... you are being no bother at all, the opposite infact, as it is beneficial to AA to receive your feedback. Many thanks. Kind regards.
