Witnessed By John Griffiths & Mary Jane Johnson [ not sure if Mary is related Mother ? Sister?]

1 May 1864 St Martins Church Birmingham England



1861 Census has Hannah age 20 living in Grove House Handsworth Staffordshire England. Occ Listed as Servant - Under Nurse

Unmarried Age 20. Born America.



Hannah & Daniel left England for New Zealand in 1864 aboard the ship Surat

I have looked through 5-6 pages of the 1850 Census for Hannah Johnson's born around that time. There was only one with a father names Charles. She was Black and her father was a labourer.



It looks like she left the U.S.A before 1850.

Have found a marriage for a Mary Jane Johnson to a Joseph Fisher in West Bromwich 1864

checked 1881 Census & this Mary Jane Johnson was born 1842 United States, so could possilbly have been her sister.
