Default Nat.Archives Clearance

Thought this might be worth knowing:

Quote:
On Tuesday 21 August 2007 The National Archives is holding a free one-day clearance of library books and finding aids.

The clearance will mostly consist of copies of published lists, indexes, calendars, and reference works relating to archives and records that are no longer needed.

All books are available to take away on a first-come-first-served basis. Unfortunately a pre-clearance list of titles is not available.

The condition of the books is variable, and all are offered 'as seen'. There is no fee, but all books must be taken on the day, as we are not able to store any for later collection.

The clearance will be at The National Archives in Kew. Doors open at 10:00.

How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...
