I take it by the way you mention going to Bromley that you have found your Grandfathers grave, just a chance while you are there see if the grave is for him only the register should still be at the Cemetery office and they will normally not make any charge for a check
I take it too that you are not far away from Bromley I lived for the first 30 years of my life in S E London first Woolwich then Blackheath and Bromley then was in Kent
I well remember the outrage when it lost its status and became Borough 19,
I left London 25 Years ago and now live on the Essex coast so your mention of some of the London boroughs was a nice reminder
Please let me know what you discover I am still Not giving up, Unless Your grandmother spontaneously combusted she had to be declared dead and her remains cremated or Buried so there has to be a record some where we just need to find where
The trouble is not every one was buried in the place they died my own mother who is now 97 and living here in Essex will in her long rest be taken back to be with my father in a Cemetery in S E London
