Have checked Directorie's for 1911 & 1938 and found the following:
1911 Directory
Walter John Smith - 11 Blenheim Road,Toxteth Park.
16 Roscommon Street - John Adams residing
1938 Directory
Walter Jn Smith - 36 Renshaw Street (Foreman)
Walter Jn Smith - 4 Trafalgar Place,Lower Bebington
16 Roscommon Street. Not Listed
You say you have your Grandfathers marriage certificate, do you also have his birth certificate? I have checked BM&D's and couldn't find a registration for him,you will need a copy of this to confirm who his Mother was. Once you have this a check on the relevant forum's will be possible for your Great Grandparent's marriage and any Cencus Returns.
