My GGGrandfather on my fathers side was a Victualler. He had 3 pubs in all. The Harp of Erin, The Carriers Arms (still in existence but with a name change) and The Burrabadeen Hotel. Another relative Richard Jurd held the licence for the Settlers Arms Inn in St Albans New South Wales and after his death his wife took over the licence. The Inn was in the family for 90 years. This Inn is still operating and is one of the oldest hotels in Australia still operating.
